Like Music, Movies too plays an important role in my life history ('HIS'tory is a masculine word!!!!). I never thought of studying Electronic media(EM) when i was in school final, but somehow i joined the course without much plans(still, enna plan panradhunu theriyala)...... All i had in mind was," i hav to work in a field wich provides scope for some creativity and not to work as a 9am-5pm employee in a corporate" (its nt very easy though).

As my brother missed the opportunity to study EM, he asked me to study EM or Visual Communication (vis. com). But vis com syllabus frightened, cause it had Drawing in the first year. Enakku drawinga paatha bayam, adhukkum enna paatha bayam (தவள வரஞ்சா டைனோசர் மாதிரி இருக்கும்) upto 10th std, my friends helped me with the science diagrams(thank god, graph sheets had only lines)...... So viscom was in the second row and i gave importance to EM..... Applied in Loyola(, Anna univ.(EM) and Guru Nanak (both). Wrote entrance exams in loyola and anna univ.

But dint get any (எனக்கு அவ்ளோ talent இல்ல, added, adhu thani story, saving it for future posting) My brother was a guru nanak college (GNC) student, he did his BCA their.... Dint had any entrance in GNC, they called me and said tat i got selected for viscom, aana naan konjam kooda mariyadhaye illama, (it was my HOD who called, but dint knw at tat time), "sorry mam, im waiting for my loyola college result" appadinu solliten. Loyola and anna univ. bulb aanadhukku apparam, i dint had any choice, so joined EM in GNC.

First day in college was a bit of surprise for me...College entrancela oru periyaaaaaaaaaaa cricket ground......Then, i dint went to any classroom, instead they told me to go to Audio lab, i.e. a recording studio.... enakku ore aacharyam (mindvoice, "aahaa naama periya padippa padikkaporam"), but inside the studio, great shock awaited....although the studio was well equipped and looked great, the class had only 8people.... but they said, more will join once the instant exam(for those who failed in 12th) result comes....i too hoped the same but only 3 joined later....

This low strength kinda helped me as i had time to interact wit all of my friends at a time and spared much time for arattai.....our Dept. staffs also found it easy to teach and gave us more freedom....Beside, my seniors were vey friendly and helpful... So i had much fun studying in Guru Nanak College....use to talk freely wit professors.... I really never had any tough time (apart from xams) in the college....Infact i realized my original capacity. College life taught me great lessons (mostly good ones) which i can never forget. But எல்லாருக்கும் அப்படிதான், இல்ல?? (Its same for everybody, isnt it??)

p.s.amma thaaye, edhaavadhu comments post pannunga (ada chee, idhellam oru pozhappa?!?!?!?!?!)..... ideas, to popularise the blog, are appreciated.....

How to write lyrics for tamil film songs

(after so many friends suggestion, i've given equivalent english words for tamil words)

If one writes a biography about me (any volunteers??) they should write some 3-4 chapters abt music in my life. i lik to hear loads of songs even if i dnt understand its meaning. but i always wonder about tamil film song's lyrics. At times, it sounds totally stupid and funny. These days, i cant even understand the tamil lyrics (particularly, yogi b songs "ஜாட மோதி மோதி மொக்காக நெருப்பாக நீரும் மதி மாடுள்ள" செம்மய புரியுதுல??? ???)

But i think its very easy to write songs for tamil films. If ppl lik perarasu writes, why cant we??? here s one small xample for perarasu song lyrics

என்னாத்த சொல்வேனுங்கோ (ennatha solvenungo)
வடு மாங்கா ஊருதுங்கோ (Vadumaanga oorudhungo)
வடுமாங்க ஊரடுங்கோ (vadumaanga ooratungo)
தயிர் சாதம் ready பண்ணுங்கோ (Thayirsaadham ready pannungo)

In this post, i'l teach u some easy steps to write tamil film song lyrics. c, the trick is, first finish the last word in each line, it shld sound similar lik ...
சொல்வேனுங்கோ (solvenungo)
ஊருதுங்கோ (Oorudhungo)
ஊரடுங்கோ (Ooratungo)
பண்ணுங்கோ (Pannungo)
போடாங்கோ (Podaango)

Lik wise. wen u get the last words rite, u can easily fill up the other words...Anthe, simple.....
let me write my own tamglish lyrics for a very simple situation first, for xample, tak the word "blogspot"
first step: finish the last words,
shooting spot

now the remaining stuff,

நீ எந்தன் blogspot (nee endhan)
நான் அருந்தும் goldspot (naan undhan)
வேலூர் is a hotspot (Velur)

அவ்ளோதான்... get ready ரசிகப்பெருமக்களே, u can write lyrics for ur favorite heroes... jus think of few rhyming words like TR, automatica lyrics varum..... i c a diary in front of me..... i've started thinking
(diary, theory, சவுரி, நவுர்ரி..........................................).

GNC Electronic Media 2005-08 Batch

This post is for and about my friends..... those who r interested can read and
those who r not interested can also read (இதவிட வேற என்ன வேலை??)
(a small reminder about my studies. they r about media. movies and stuff lik tat)

(ther is one gal in our class, satya sri, who s nt in this picture. i dunno much abt her. its a great achievement tat she, being the only gal in our class, studied in a class full of boys. good guts, isnt it?? )
Suresh and Arun kumars: C, I cant separate them here also. these 2 were cousins. always together and fun loving fellows. i use call them crazy thieves as they r from பாலவாக்கம் . suresh's last project gained him some popularity, our sir appericiated it much than the other films. i think these 2 will become good masala (not tat masala) film directors in the future or will join politics.

Ragunaath: To be frank, during my initial days in first year, i thought ragu was a total nut. His mannerisms r very popular among our dept. students. His distinctive way of thinking and speaking earned him popularity soon, most of them negative ones. but in last two years, i came to know about him much and realized tat he s a good human being, far better than lot of us. has a good analytical brain. in 5th sem he made his film without any help, he did all the pre production, production and post production work. i thought tats wat all of the e media studs shuld do. but i too dint do tat. I think this is enough to knw abt him.(i usually dnt ask testimonials frm ppl, but im expecting his testimonial abt me in orkut)

Chandramouli: one confused mind in our class. i still dunno wy he do all those so called funny stuff in front of ppl, lik using bagyaraj's manerisms and some funny gestures. I believed (still) he was trying to get some attention. we use to discuss a lot abt movies. he has a good logical brain but fails most of the time due to low confidence. he s the only one who got placed in our campus (others dint attend).

Kaarthik: I came to knw abt him only in last 2 sem, the one wit a wierd haristyle, gets teased by others for the same. we dnt talk much between us, he acted in maximum no. of short films this year (in my request, acted in my film too, ஆபத்பாந்தவன்) he, along wit prem, s aiming to be a cinematographer. im confident tat he will be one.

Prem: I had good rapport with the seniors, so wen they asked me to assist thm in their pojects, they told me to bring some more students who should be quiet and hardworking. Prem's face striked immediately. Cameraman for almost all the projects in this year. ***** (badword) பேசவேமாட்டான். we were together assisting senior's projects and hav traveled a lot together. i waited for him to be free to be in my film's crew. very co-operative and hardworking fellow. he'l definitely become a great cameraman in the future, we hav a deal tat he should handle camera in my future feature film. its for sure machi, if i tak one.

Manoj: Looks too young in the picture, isnt it?? 1985 பொறந்த பையன். very reserved and thinks concepts only for elite group. என்னென்னமோ models பேரெல்லாம் சொல்லி wallpapers download பண்ண சொல்லுவான் . use to complain a lot abt the society and environment. likes to be a practical thinker. he, myself and mouli use to discuss abt whole new concepts almost everyday. if he move in the rite path, he'l hav a brite future. the only thing he need is some co-operation frm his family. giv him a chance, he can do great works(i think ur bro will read this).

Sanjay (సబ్జయ్): (telugu correcta??) Spielberg is his nick name. i use to call him mayandi cause he learned maya in our class first. should've been in viscom dept. he'l always be in computer lab, doing viscom things lik flash and max presentations(alien). interested in whole lot of things i cant list out here. generally he talks abt world cinema and took a wonderful cinema last sem (i cant forget it). yet to give my salary for tat film.

I dunno much about Rakesh and Deepak garge, though rakesh attends class regularly i dnt talk to him much. he also frm andra and is the senior most person in our class. good fellow. never bothers anyone (atleast dint bothered me).
deepak garge attends the college only on exam days. he s working. college உள்ள getupa நுழையும்போதே நல்ல நல்ல வார்த்தையா சொல்லிகிட்டே வருவான். yo guy. i hope he brags a lot. we cant believe most of the things he says. these doesnt mean tat he s bad. he has promised me tat, if i refer, he'l recruit some of my frnds if they need any job.

tats it...
nobody in our class is bad...though each of us r nt big frnds, we r nt enemies. im proud tat i was with these ppl, last 3yrs, sharing the same class room. i think i can say tat i was the only one who had a good rapport with all of em (no braggadocio here)... all d best for u ppl, for a healthy, wealthy and great future.

p.s. and about me, சொல்றதுக்கு வார்த்தையே கெடைக்கல.... :))))
ther s one famous quote, "show me ur friend, i'l tel who u r", so feel free to judge abt me.

Indian BPOs

Jus now read an important news in yahoo about call centers, sorry, BPOs in India... i can say its a good news to sound like an optimist (mind voice about inflation)...... go thru the article below.....IAOP is International Association of Outsourcing with 40000 corporate, professional, and associate members worldwide... its a newyork based company...

p.s.i'l keep on posting abt various interesting news and articles, found on net, in this copy & paste section....

New York, May 9 (IANS) Twenty-one Indian companies, including Infosys Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Wipro, are among the top 100 BPO firms in the world, according to a new study.

Five of the Indian firms figuring among the 10 best outsourcing service providers are: Infosys (No.3), TCS (6), Wipro (7), Genpact (9) and Tech Mahindra (10), according to the study - '2008 Global Outsourcing 100' - compiled by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

Accenture and IBM head the list published as an advertising feature by IAOP in the current Fortune 500 issue of Fortune magazine.

The other 16 Indian companies in the list are HCL Technology (11), Mastek (16), WNS Global Services (19), Hexaware (22), ExlService (26), 24/7 Customer (28), Cambridge (36), ITC Infotech (40), KPIT Cummins (42), Patni (46), Zensar (53), MindTree (54), Mphasis (56), Aditya Birla Minacs (62), FirstSource Solutions (73) and Cross-Tab (78).

The key strength of Wipro and TCS is their 'employee management' while the strong point of Infosys and Genpact is their 'executive leadership', according to the New York-based IAOP.

The Bangalore-based Infosys is one of India's largest IT companies, with nine development centres in the country and 30 offices abroad with 88,000 professionals on its rolls.

Founded in 1981 by N.R. Narayana Murthy and six others, it announced a consolidated net profit of Rs.46.59 billion for the last fiscal, a 21 percent growth over the previous year.

TCS, part of the Tata group, is one of the world's largest providers of IT and BPO services. It has the largest number of employees among Indian IT companies with a staff strength of over 110,000 in 47 countries. It posted a profit after tax last year of Rs.50.26 billion, up 19 percent over the previous year.

The evaluation team was led by IAOPs' managing director of Thought Leadership, Jagdish Dalal, a renowned outsourcing expert.

we flew over kuruvi's nest

On 5th may, myself, gopal and bala annas planned to go to "Kuruvi" in satyam. I booked the tkts over net (3x95) and felt happy on getting the tkt on 3rd day itself, tat too in satyam. i was very sure tat the film will be good as it s one of my favourite director's film (dharani) and has music by one of my favourite music director Vidyasagar. though im not satisfied wit the songs of the film i thought tat the songs will be good along wit the visuals....The film released on Saturday, i.e.on 3rd may....

Reviews about the film, from my brother's frnds, started arriving home...first comment i heard is "the film s sure flop"....i thought for a while and said to myself, "அவனுங்க எல்லாம் அஜித் fans, அப்படிதான் சொல்லுவாங்க, dont worry, 95rs waste ஆகாது"..... but by evening, most of the ppl told tat the films was a complete mokkai... thn a logged in to orkut and started browsing vijay's communities.... some of them said the films a another gilli and some of them said that the film s (another:) worst in vijay's career and atm(azhagiya tamil magan) was far better than this.....

அப்பவே ஒரு mind voice, "OH MY GOD!!!! NO WAY!!!!"..... cause atm was the worst(to say the least) film i saw in recent times (next to bheema ofcourse).... but again i said to myself, "lets wait till monday morning and get the review frm vijay fans"..... by sunday night, i got the actual feedback frm vijay fans, most of them dint liked the movie and reviews in various websites criticized the movie (deccan chronicle daily reported tat the film is bitter pills for Vijay fans)....
so i spoke wit both annas tat i'l sell the tkts, as our precious 100rs will be wasted, and go for santosh subramaniam instead...we did so...

About San-Su movie: usual frame to frame remake from remake brothers, ravi and raja....this time too, ravi tries a sidharth act, genelia chance illa, bayangara overacting, she beats jothika in some places...amidst so many yawns, the film was good overall, but i liked the telugu version much...

Atlast, my dream of starting a blog materialized. Im still confused about the language of my blog. Im convenient with both english and tamil but i think tamil is more xpressive than (my) english. So i'l post in tamglish.

The idea of starting a blog occurred to me some 2years back. I use to browse thru many blogs and many of them amused me. Even i signed up for one but
அடுத்து என்ன பண்றதுன்னு தெரியாம deleted it next day. I use to tel my friends about the blog idea but their reaction was simply "அப்படியா?? ok மச்சி"........

So i lost interest as the days passed, but my brother krishna kumar started one last december.
அப்பதான் எனக்குள்ள ஒரு mind voice, just like old films, "ஒரு குக்கிராமத்துல (nellore) இருக்குற சின்னப்பையனே சுறுசுறுப்பா blog ஆரம்பிச்சுட்டான், வெக்கமா இல்ல?? பளார் !!!பளார்!!! பளார்!!! (lik vedam pudithu!!!)".

Added to this, he was asking me about my blog whenever we use to chat. so i decided that i'l start one once my exam gets over and here im, blogging.
Some pieces of info before reading my blog.....
  • I'l definitely try to differentiate my blog from other blogs but dont xpect too much...
  • Tolerate my english cause im not much convenient wit it...
  • Future contents of the blog may offend some, if u find it so, jus press Alt & F4 in ur keyboard. (It really helps)...
  • Suggestions, Comments and Questions r always welcome...
  • This blog can be best viewed in IE, firefox and maxthon browsers... Opera s***s

இப்போதைக்கு அவ்ளோதான்

நான் ஒரு சோம்பேறி but I'l try to update often... .:))

p.s. vote of thanks:
